Set on the ruins of an 18th-century farmhouse on the hill of San Jacopo, in the heart of Valdera, DSJ Tuscany Grand Retreat is a refined Tuscan villa with panoramic swimming pool surrounded by a private garden and centuries-old olive trees, with beautiful views over the rolling countryside.

Carefully restored, the farmhouse blends authentic Tuscan character with modern comfort. Original terracotta floors, exposed chestnut beams, pastel-toned interiors and large windows opening onto the garden create a warm and elegant atmosphere, enhanced by hand-painted details and refined furnishings.
All rooms are air-conditioned and offer high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property, including the garden and the panoramic infinity pool, set in a secluded and elevated position. The layout includes a central building with shared living areas and three independent apartments, each with its own living room and kitchen, making the villa ideal for groups or families of up to 21 guests who value both togetherness and privacy.
Thanks to its strategic location, DSJ Villa is the perfect base for exploring Tuscany’s most iconic destinations, such as Volterra, San Gimignano, Pisa, Florence, Lucca and Siena, as well as the beaches of the Etruscan Coast and the resorts of Versilia. The Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico and the thermal spas of Casciana Terme and Uliveto are just a short drive away.
The villa is easily accessible from Pisa and Florence airports and is close to local villages for daily shopping, with an excellent restaurant within walking distance.
To enhance our guests’ stay, DSJ Villa has partnered with Il Girasole, a welcoming bar, restaurant and pizzeria located just 400 metres from the villa and easily reachable on foot. Guests can enjoy a varied menu from breakfast to lunch and dinner, with table service in a relaxed and authentic Tuscan atmosphere — a convenient and enjoyable option throughout the day.

Around 800 square metres of landscaped garden frame the farmhouse, set within a fully fenced private estate of approximately 2 hectares—a peaceful, secure setting surrounded by an extensive olive grove entirely laid to lawn and easy to explore.

Designed for guests who value privacy, space and peace of mind, the estate offers a secluded countryside atmosphere where you can truly switch off, gather with your group, and enjoy Tuscany at your own pace.
The beautifully maintained garden is enriched with Mediterranean plants and fragrances: laurel, strawberry trees, lavender, rosemary and roses line the internal paths, alongside young cypress trees and majestic oaks, turkey oaks and magnolias that frame the entrance driveway and the pool area.
Several outdoor living spaces invite you to relax and connect, including a shaded pergola with sofas and two outdoor dining areas located near the villa’s French doors—perfect for long lunches, sunset dinners and slow mornings outdoors.
For added comfort and security, there is a private gated entrance and a large covered parking area just inside the gate, making arrivals easy and ensuring everything stays within the property.
Within the olive grove, accessible by a staircase near the parking area, guests will find a dedicated leisure zone featuring archery, a gazebo with table tennis and table football, plus a children’s play area with swings and a slide—making DSJ Villa ideal for families and multi-generational groups seeking both togetherness and privacy.
Panoramic Infinity Pool

Set in a panoramic position overlooking the open Tuscan landscape, our newly built infinity pool lies in a peaceful area of the garden, approximately 20 metres from the villa and easily reached via a gently sloping paved path.
Enjoy quiet moments overlooking Tuscany hills
The pool measures 6 x 14 metres and features an elegant Roman staircase with five wide steps. The depth ranges from 1.30 to 2.70 metres, making it ideal for both relaxation and swimming. Finished with terracotta edging and sand-coloured tiles, the pool blends harmoniously with the surrounding countryside.
A spacious terracotta sun deck surrounds the pool, furnished with comfortable sun loungers for relaxing under the Tuscan sun. Nearby, guests will also find a wooden gazebo with table and armchairs, perfect for shaded breaks or quiet moments overlooking the hills.
The pool area is equipped with both hot and cold outdoor showers and benefits from salt-water purification, ensuring a more natural and gentle swimming experience.
Thanks to internal and external lighting, the pool can also be enjoyed in the evening, offering a truly atmospheric setting at sunset and after dark.
The pool is available for DSJ Villa guests from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.
